3. The Starting Position
Manual, complex, confusing and brand damaging

​​​​​​​​​​​​My discovery revealed an onboarding experience that didn't reflect the Rolls-Royce brand or reputation. New employee's were expecting a slick, digital, innovative and engaging onboarding experience. Instead the experience was poor and didn't reflect the brand values. Processes were lengthly, complex, manual and confusion. New employee's didn't have the tools or support they needed to be successful, hiring managers were frustrated and business outcomes were being impacted.

We shaped an onboarding vision to truly align with the Rolls-Royce brand and enable the best possible business outcomes. "Our on-boarding experience will be innovative, inspiring & empowering and allow our new talent to be engaged, informed and set up for success".

A global programme team was assembled with executive support and representation across countries and functions. All new ways of thinking and working enabled the programme:

6. The Journey and Timeline
Think big, start small - building out successful solutions over time

We took an agile, iterative approach to start driving change and delivering value to the organisation as soon as possible. We piloted a new end-to-end solution with executive level new employee's, later launching the solution globally in multiple languages. The journey continued with the global implementation of a market leading digital onboarding tool, taking the new experience to a whole new level.
